Singapore Phone Number Format Explained (+65)

Understand how Singapore numbers are structured, what +65 means, and how to tell mobile, fixed-line, and IP telephony ranges apart.

Last updated: 4 July 2026

Singapore phone numbers are straightforward once you know the pattern. The country code is +65, and local numbers are usually written as eight digits such as 9123 4567.

On this site, valid lookups start with 3, 6, 8, or 9. In broad terms, 3-prefix numbers are used for IP telephony, 6-prefix numbers are fixed lines, and 8- or 9-prefix numbers are typically mobile.

If a caller ID shows +65, that only tells you the number is presented as a Singapore number. It does not guarantee the caller is in Singapore or that the number has not been spoofed.
